Suddenly entered into rest at the Belleville General Hospital, on Monday, March 13, 2023, Debra Newson (nee DeMille) of Picton died at the age of 62. She was the daughter of the late Doug & Velma DeMille (nee Elsbury) and wife of the late Philip. Debra was the loving mother of Philip of Picton, and Amanda (Terry Neilsen) of Napanee, and grandmother of Dakota, Ashley, Tyler, Alanna, Junior, Skylar and Ocean. Debra is survived by her sisters Brenda DeMille of Picton, Jackie DeMille of Peterborough, Doug DeMille (Debbie), Dale DeMille (Donna) and Brian DeMille (Chrys) all of Toronto. Predeceased by her sister Beverley Hele. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Newson rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street, (613-476-2450). There will be no visitation or services at this time, cremation has taken place. Inurnment at Cherry Valley Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to the Hospice Prince Edward would be appreciated by the family.
