It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Douglas Mason on Thursday, January 5th, 2023, in his 98th year. Son of the late Frederick and Emma Mason (nee Clarke). Predeceased by his loving wife Thelma Mason (nee Doxtator). Father of Douglas Jr. (Brenda), Gary (Chris) and Linda Guthrie (Bob Stevenson). Grandfather of Amanda Clegg (Don), Michael Mason (Angie), Randy Guthrie and Paige Mason (Will). Great grandfather of Andrew, Ethan, Ben, Liam, Ava and Tristan. Lovingly remembered by his niece Marilyn Sinclair (Dennis). Douglas was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Navy from 1943- 1946. Arrangements entrusted to RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOMES, BELLEVILLE, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588). Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Salvation Army Community Church, 205 Bridge St., West, Belleville. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment at Belleville Cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
