BANGAY, Frances Eugenia - passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, age 92 years. Eugenia Bangay of Trenton and formerly of Brighton was the daughter of the late Eva Sheppard and the late Alexander Ball. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Ernest Bangay. Dear mother of Lynne and her husband Art Heeney of Brighton, Gwen Johnston of Trenton, Brian Bangay and his wife, the late Wendy of Orono, Dennis Bangay and his partner Sue Gaudet, and Rob Bangay and his wife Wendy, all of Brighton. Predeceased by her brother John Henry Ball. Many in town will remember Eugenia from her years of cheerful service at the Brighton Post Office as well as her dedication to preserving our local history through Memory Junction Railway Museum...a passion shared with her husband of 70 years, Ralph. Sadly missed by her twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Rushnell Funeral Homes – Brighton Chapel, 130 Main Street (613-475-2121) on Friday, March 24th, 2023 from 6-9 p.m. A Private Memorial Service will be held at the Eddystone Baptist Church, Grafton at a later date, with interment at Hilton Cemetery.
