KEE, Joan Rosella
Unexpectedly entered into rest at her home, on Friday, February 10, 2023, Joan Kee (nee Hopkins) of Wellington, formerly of Ottawa, died at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Ernest & Jean Hopkins (nee Babcock) and was the cherished wife for 61 years to Bob. Joan was the loving mother of Jim (Laura) of Markham, and Susan of Toronto and the grandmother of Shannon (Chris) and Douglas and great grandmother of Finley and Paisley. Joan is predeceased by her brothers Donald Hopkins and Robert Hopkins (surviving Eleanor) of New Brunswick. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and her dear friend Nancy Stokes of Kingston.
Mrs. Kee rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). In keeping with Joan’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral at this time. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment in the family plot in New Brunswick at a later date. If desired, donations to Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Joan would be appreciated by the family.
