Obituary for Magdalena "Helen" Millhardt

MILLHARDT, Magdalena “Helen” – Of the Belmont Long Term Care Facility, passed away on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 at the Belleville General Hospital. Born in Yugoslavia, daughter of the late Pedro and Maria Ner. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Johannes (1988), and her brother Pedro Ner. Helen will be remembered by her niece, Veronica Ner and nephew, Martin Ner of Argentina. She will be remembered by many extended family members and friends. Helen retired as a teacher at Centennial Secondary School, and was a part of many community organizations, including the Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary, and was a founding member of the Quinte Immigration Society. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 399 Victoria Ave., Belleville on Thursday, February 16th at 11:00 a.m. Friends are invited to attend a visitation one hour prior at the Church. Father Roderick McNeil officiating. Rite of Committal will take place at St. James Cemetery, Belleville. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the BGH Oncology Department would be appreciated.
