Entered into rest at her home, East Lake on Sunday, January 15, 2023, Marguerite Leavitt (nee Tripp) died at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Clarence & Blanche Tripp (nee Francis) and was the beloved wife for 66 years to Mell. Marguerite was the loving mother of Paul (Gerry) of Carrying Place, Lynn (Susan) of Picton, and Susan Vincent (John) of Northport and was the grandmother of Joseph (Kylie), James (Jess), Julie (Jordan), Amanda (Brendan) and Ryan (Caitlin) and the beloved great grandmother of Remington, Ryerson, Jessa-Lee, Grayson, Kayden, Brooklyn, Emmett, Bentley and Clara. She is predeceased by her brother Clifford Tripp of Belleville and remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Leavitt rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11 am with visitation for 1 hour prior to the Service. Inurnment Cherry Valley Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation in memory of Marguerite would be appreciated by the family.
