Obituary for Perley Irvine Weaver
With great sorrow and love, the family of Dr. Perley Irvine Weaver announces his passing on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Perley, 56, died unexpectedly at his home in Brighton after his precious heart stopped.
Born May 15, 1966, to Gerald Weaver and the late Reta Weaver (Rushton) in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Older brother of Dawn Weaver of Fredericton, New Brunswick.
After graduating from Doaktown High School, Perley pursued the career of his high school dreams. While serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Dalhousie in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1992. He loved dentistry and was well known for his kind and gentle ways by his patients and staff alike. He first met his future wife during an orthodontic dental appointment, and later proposed to her while they both were working in the dental core at CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick.
Perley leaves behind his wife, soulmate, and the love of his life, Pamela Bryson-Weaver. Proud and loving father of Joshua Bryson-Weaver and his wife Lily, of China, Jennifer Bryson-Weaver of Edmonton, Alberta, and John Bryson-Weaver of Brighton, Ontario.
Perley together with Pamela loved ballroom dancing, sailing and riding their Harley Davidson bikes, as well he loved travelling to exotic places with his wife and children. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and involved with his wife in numerous organizations within the communities they lived, including their church, community food banks, special Olympics, therapeutic riding associations and autism societies. Perley will be sadly missed by his many friends, colleagues, and extended family.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 40 Centre Street, Brighton, Ontario on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 11 AM. Cremation. Followed by a reception in the church hall.
